Dengeki G’s Festival Comic

Well, today, after waiting for a few weeks, I finally recieved my Dengeki G’s Festical Comic. This one comes with Fortune Arterial goodies. I first decided to get this when I was reading Danny Choo. That a Dengeki G’s Festival Comic was coming out that Thursday long ago. I wanted it, so I decided to look around for it online. It took two days just to find it. I decided to buy it quickly. The shipping was hell, it took three weeks for it to arrive. It finally arrived today. I came home and found the package infront of the door. This was my first Dengeki G’s Festival magazine but I do own some Dengeki G’s magazines. For people who don’t know what Dengeki G’s is, I’ll provide some info. Dengeki G’s is a magazine is a Japanese magazine published by ASCII Media Works and sold monthly that primarily contains info on bishojo games, but also includes an entire section on anime based on bishojo games, and serializes manga and light novels based on such games. The “G’s” in the title stands for “Gals” or/ and “Games”. Dengeki G’s Festival! is the third special edition version of Dengeki G’s Magazine. There are two other special editions released before festival. Each issue comes bundled with bonus material depicting characters from the series that is the current feature of a given issue. One of the recurring items is a hug pillowcase featuring an image of one or more bishojo characters in a sexually suggestive pose. Later, they released Dengeki G’s Comics which features manga based on bish?jo games. Like all of the Festival line, it also includes bonus material. Later on, they also released more types of Festival like Deluxe and Anime. All in which comes with bonus material as well.

This is the package the Comic came in. I was pretty happy when I finally got it. Now all I need to wait for is the Lucky Star Nendoroids I ordered. Anyways, it sure came in a lot of wrapping. When I opened it, I realized that the August Box was a bit dented but I didn’t care as long as the goodies inside was alright. After opening it, the goodies were alright.

This was what was inside the package. It contained a small Kure-nai info book, the Dengeki G’s Festival Comic and the August Box that contained the Fortune Arterial goodies. Many people Dengeki G’s is a magazine, but they also released two volumes of the Dengeki G’s Festival Comic. Sorry, I haven’t read through it yet… I can tell you the comics in the issue right now is pretty nice.

Above are some examples of the comics and articles deatured in this issue. It’s a pretty big issue I say with over 450 pages of content. As you can see from above, there is info on Fortune Arterial, Yoake Mae Yori Ruri-iro Na and many other games. Now, on to the small Kure-nai book. It shows info of the show itself, with interviews with the voice actor, creator and so on. It also contains bits of the manga.

It’s so a small info book contains 17 pages. There are some ads about some games and anime on the back of the book.

Now on to the goodies that came with this issue.

All the goods were packed into this box. The August box. This issue contaied three items. A long towel featuring Erika Sendo from Fortune Arterial, an ID card/pass case featuring Shiro Togi from Fortune Arterial, and a cell phone cleaner featuring Feena from Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na.

All the items that are in the August Box. It fits nicely into the box for easy storage which I need due to lack of space I have. Still, I’m debating with myself should I use the towel or not. The towel is useful in a way.

It’s a pretty big towel. The art on it is real nice. The towel is 150cm x 50cm. The towel is almost the height of my figure display shelf.

I plan on getting more Dengeki G’s Festival issues in the near future. I might also want some of the older issues which some of them comes with a dakimakura or even an alarm clock. I’ll see what I can find online…

Where did you ordered it from? Amazon Japan? How much did the shippings costed?

I’ve always wanted these magazines, but the insane shipping fees (books and magazines much, much more heavier than figures) turned me away from them. Paragraphs are your friend. That wall of text after the first picture was hell on my eyes.

Also, messy room is messy. I see boxes everywhere! D:

Ron~: I’m waiting for mine to arrive. Another one anyways…

Desudesu: Ebay is one of the best places to get these. Also I use a site called akadot retail. It takes time for it to come. Okay, you see boxes because those are boxes where my figures were put in. The figures are are in my glass shelf. Which is behind my towel in the picture. It may look messy, but my room is actually pretty neat.

Saku: Try ebay. Shipping is a bit cheaper.
