Many are wondering how much or what I exactly bought at the Anime North convention I attended on the weekend. Well, since I rushed the Anime North day 3 post. I decided that you deserve more. So I’m going to talk about what I about what I bought at Anime North aka Anime North Loot!!!

Figures:

These are my figures that I purchased at Anime North. Some I got great deals and some were major finds. Conventions are great places to find goods that you can’t find anywhere. Sometimes dealers will bring out their entire stock of stuff to sell to us okatu!!!

During Anime North, I bought a total of 8 figures.

Alter 1/8 Scale Xenosaga 3 Telos: $40

This is a lot of money for figures. To me, I got great prices on them, where normally, I wouldn’t be able to get. One of my major finds is (Belela-san pointed out) was the Alter Joe. It’s pretty rare currnetly. The thing is, when I was at the convention, there was a few of them. The one I have was the cheapest of them all. One of them sold for $80. That turned me away quickly. Another find that I was happy about was the Alter Telos. Not that rare but great price. I usually see her for $80 to $100. I got her for $40. The other figure I bought were at respectable prices. I was surprised on how little nendoroids being sold at Anime North. It was either I have it or something I see real common. The most common ones are the Death Note ones. Now the Mabinogi Nendo was good find. Finally, a nendoroid that isn’t a Death Note of a Haruhi. Not a bad price too. That’s it for figures.

Manga:

You think I won’t go to a convention and not buy manga. WRONG!!! I bought around 12 manga this year. There was a booth that sold 5 manga for $20 or $5 for 1. it was a great deal. Other places were US price and have 15% off. It was a nice price.

I love manga. I love to read them too. I like buying manga more then downloading them. In conventions such as Anime North, manga can be found with deals. Some manga i got have great deals. I love 5 manga for $20. I love how $10 I can get the Aoi House collection 1 manga. I love this manga!!!

Doujinshi:

In recent years, dealers have started selling doujinshi. The thing is that they cost a lot of money. The doujinshi have caught my attention over the last 3 years. I have bought a couple of them at Anime North.

Rozen Maiden: $15

Doujinshi cost a butt load of money to buy here. I would love to wait till my trip to Japan. I just can’t wait. So I just bought a few of them. The doujinshi took a huge chunk out of my Anime North spending budget. I still love my Gundam Seed Destiny Lacus doujinshi!!! I was lucky that I was able to get the Lucky Star doujinshi because it was the last one. Great grab too. Some of my doujinshi are adult and some are just regular pairings.

Pillows:

I bought pillows at Anime North. I was planning on buying plushies but scraped that plan when I saw the pillows of Nanoha!!! I quickly bought it. I only bought two during the convention since they sold out on Saturday.

These pillows were good finds. They sold quickly and at a good price. Good find. I quickly bought the Nanoha pillow when I saw it. It was the second thing I bought at Anime North. I love it!!!!!! I wanted the Fate on but someone beat me to the punch!!!

Pillow covers/ Bed Sheet covers/ Dakimakura:

Some people loves this stuff. I do too, when you get some for free. Yes you hear me!!!!! I got two of my dakimakura for FREE!!!!!! Dakimakura are nice but cost a lot for one. I bought one and bought a bed sheet of Love Hina Naru!!!!!!

Yup, I got the Haruhi Dakimakura when I was at the Nominoichi at Anime North. Nominoichi means Anime Flea market!!!! I bought a CD and the guy just doesn’t want the dakimakura so he gave them to me for free. That was a great time. I also got the Love Hina bedsheet at the Udon Comics booth. They gave me a deal on it and took off $10. I was pretty happy about the great deal. Now on to the dakimakura. That I got it at the yaoi and yuri doujinshi booth in the dealers. It was pretty cool. I quickly bought it when I saw that half of the dakimakura was already gone. They were sold out on Friday. So good thing for me…

Extras:

These extras I like to call them is a category for these items I have no idea to put them. Most of these are bought on impluse…Meaning I just bought them because I felt like it.

Most of these I say again are random purchases. Still, when it comes to Lucky Star, can’t control myself on buying it…unless I already have it. I don’t regret buying this stuff!!!

Cel Art:

Well, I only bought one of these cel art and I must say, worth it!!!!! I lvoe it and I was also hoping to get Zero one but they ran out. I was lucky enough to get the C.C. cel art.

Well, this was a great buy. It’s real nice and I was real lucky. I purchased this at the anime flea market. I bought as soon as the seller told me they had C.C. I quickly gave her my money and I was happy!!!

CD/ DVD/ Games:

Well, at a convention most people buy DVDs, CDs or games. I bought some during Anime North. Some of them are great finds that I was able to get. Some I got for a great deal too!!! and some, I would never let go.

I got great deals on this. The Aya Hirano CD itself was great. $5 for a CD. I love it!!! My autographed Halko Momoi CD to me is priceless since she sinced it infront of me and I got a hug from her. EFZ is a game where who is better, Kanon, Air, Clannad, who knows…I hear it was good and when I was buying it, another guy wants it, so we ended up getting a great deal on it!!! My Touhou game, hmmmmm, well, friend influence… The DVD box set of Shrine in the Morning Mist was a cheap and cool set. Got all episodes for $20. That’s a great deal!!!

Model Kits:

Model kits, people in conventions sells them at a great price. There was this booth at Anime North that sold Gundam Model kits at AMAZING PRICES!!!!! They sold me a Destiny MG for $50. Originally, I see it for at least $75 or more at other places.

I was lucky that I got this gundam model. It’s a steal at this price. I found out about that booth when my friend bought a his MG Crossbone Gundam for $30. I was like no way it’s that cheap. It was when he took me there on Saturday. I quickly bought Destiny. I love this unit!!!!! Too bad they didn’t have Strike Freedom of Gundam F91.

T-Shirts:

I love shirts. My Grandmother is getting angry about my shirt purchases. Well, I can’t help it. They look cool. I love my t-shirts that I bought at Anime North. At AN, they even gave out some for free!!!

I bought the Halko T-shirt at the concert since I saw it and it looks real nice. Every year at Anime North, I buy an Anime North T-Shirt. This reminds me that I had been there that year. It’s like a tradition that I haven’t broken. Ever since my first Anime North. The Manga and Cowboy Bebop T-shirts were given out at the Starstrucks booth. The same place where I got my Code Geass and Lucky Star posters. Since they were we, I just took them.

Code Geass Poster: 10 of them, and guess what, it was FREE!!!!!!

People was grab them as fast as they can so I took a few for my friends and for myself too!!! I just randomly grab a bunch of them. I love free stuff!!!

Art:

Well, on to the final part of this. The artist alley artwork that I bought at Anime North. The artwork shown here is what was selling at Anime North. There was a lot more but I don’t have enough money to buy them all!!! I would love to buy some still.

I love artist alley art. It makes me want to draw again. I haven’t drew any anime since last year. Maybe I should start again. Anyways, Artist alley works are always amazing!!! I love my Konata artwork. Good thing I bought the last Konata art!!! The bookmarks were 50 cents each. The original works are cool. It helps me with how the art is done and how it is drawn. I love artist alley art overall!!!!! Spend quite a lot of money in artist alley. The art is worth the price.

Yea, I know, I went way too overboard this time. I spent nearly $1000 on anime goods. You guys would probably say what the heck was I thinking spending that much. Well, half the time my mind was thinking on how good those goodies would look in my room!!! Still, with so many deals on anime goodies, who can resist. Can you?
