Well, the votes are in from pick your figure and looks like that Xecty from Shining Wind wins. It seems that the other figures got one vote while Xecty got three. I know some people would want to see the other figures. All I can say, they’ll come real soon. Well today, I finally got around doing a photoshoot and I was planning using Xecty in an outdoor shoot, but the ground was a bit wet and I couldn’t find a good forest like place. Besides, I’ve been playing the new Metal Gear Solid 4 game I got. I must say, it is sick!!!!!!! I couldn’t stop playing it!!!!!! It’s so addictive. Well, I decide that later on I’ll do a wallpaper like thing like what Radiant Dreamer does. I have to say, it looks amazing!!! I always wanted to try it sooner or later, since I haven’t been graphic designing for a while now. For people who doesn’t know, I used to be a graphic designer. I used to make anime wallpaperes and stuff like that before Koi Aichaku came along. The Konata you see on the layout is my last graphic vector I did. Anyways, on to the shoot.

Her boots are nicely detailed. The only thing, I don’t think the blue base is right for this kind of figure. Where’s the clear bases…

Well the shoot went fine today. I was planning to do an outdoor one but it didn’t work out well. Then i planned to use a black background, but the lighting causes the light to be reflected. If anyone has any tips on how to use a black background that would help. Then I went back to white and there was now problems from there on. I really should figure out how to use the black background soon.
Well, this Shining Wind figure of Xecty is by Kotobukiya. First, I find this figure sculpted pretty good. The pose looks like that she is a model of something. The thing I find strange is the face. Her face is a bit on the serious side but it’s okay. It would help if she had a happier face. The clothes on this figure is well done and the coloring on this is awesome. The hair is extremely detailed. This figure also comes with this thing. Sorry, I forgot what was it called. You can place it on top of her heads or have it alone. It’s super kawaii I say!!! There were some off points about this figure. First is her face and second is the blue base. I think it should be clear or white. Well, I rate it a B+.
Well, I got this figure in AnimeXtreme when i went ot downtown. I got her around $40. It was a pretty good deal cause the original price would be $58. I think I bought this one because of the box art and the price of the figure. I did watch Shing X Wind anime series and I say it was pretty good. The figure itself is nice. The best thing is the price. AnimeXtreme is always a great store to get figures when there are no conventions around!!!

I have placed a pre-order to this figure at a local shop (Wasabitoys) but that toy package that she was in got lost during the delivery towards the local shop… thus, I had to give up on my Xecty figure… Not like I have paid before ordering anyway…
Nice figure. I like her boots due to a lot of details on them and Lassi is just too cute. Tony Taka’s character designs are FTW ^^.

But i agree with you , her face is too serious … as for the base , well we’re used to get plain bases and bad looking ones so it’s not that surprising , is it ? :p

Sweet~ I passed over the Shining Wind series by Kotobukiya since there were just too many of them to collect so I’d better pass before the old habit of wanting to get them all surfaces again ^^; But for sure, the series by Koto is really a nice one as evidenced by your Xecty shoot.
Hopefully you’ll be able to figure out how to use the black background freely =) Wish I could give a tip or two but I’m no expert ^^;
