My New Toy!!!

Sorry for not updating yesturday. I was just way too tired yesturday to do one. Well, today, I just got a new toy for my up coming trip to Hong Kong and Japan. Well, sadly my current cellphone can’t be used overseas and my parents wants me in almost consant contact with them. Well, not constant, at least just in case they want to know where I am. Plus, I have to make sure I have a cell to call my friends who also went to Hong Kong which one of them leaves this morning. Well this phone is the SoftBank 920SH which came from Japan.

The back is steel like. It’s pretty cool. I originally want black but I am unable to get it due to their low stock. It was steel color or pink.
Well, some of you might say, why get one, you already have a good cellphone. Well, here’s the thing. I got it for a few reasons. One, my mom gave me a choice of getting it a new cellphone myself or she’ll pick one for the trip cause my phone doesn’t work there. Two, I’ve been eyeing this cellphone for a while and has a sort of the same look like Konata’s phone (There was an episode of Lucky Star were in the beginning she talks to Kagami about her new phone with a turnable screen). Three, I just don’t want to rent a phone in Japan and in Hong Kong I’ll have no phone at all. Well, a few good reasons. Besides this phone is totally unlocked.

The screen turns horizontal. It’s pretty cool. Once turned like this is TV mode. In camera mode all pictures are taken horizontal.

This phone even have Street Fighter Zero on it. It pretty cool. Sad thing is that it’s a trial version. I’m going to figure out how to get the full version… It’s a pretty sick game!!!

Well, I set up a Konata wallpaper. Well, it’s me so yea, I like Konata and so I add it as my phone’s wallpaper…

Well, now the back of my phone. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera.
Overall, it’s not bad so far. I’m currently still messing around with it trying to get use to using it and figure out some stuff on it. I’m currently in need of a 2 gb mirco SD memory card. I plan on getting it tomorrow before i head to work. Well, all I need is to activate my internation roaming part of my phone plan. Then for the cellphone part of my plan for my trip, I’m okay to go, problem solved!!!!!!!
Over the next week, I’ll be talking about my preparations for my upcoming to Hong Kong and Japan. I’ll be talking about stuff I’ll be hopefully doing and where I might be in thses places. Don’t worry everyone. I’ll post the Konomi Yuzuhara photo shoot before I leave for my trip. So look out for it!!!!!!!
actually you can rent a mobile from Japan internationa airport, cost 500 yen perday. But you need to have credit card

Hehe Japanese phones… always amazing. I’m just surprised that your parents went through all the trouble to import a phone for you to use on your trip.
They could have just gotten any quad band GSM phone (just about all Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones) and it would have worked. Of course it would have to be unlocked first.

Congrats on your new “toy”. I want a japanese-style phone and the nearest and the easiest to get is Sony Ericsson C905 which will be released late this year. I’m hoping to have it by then.
Any phone with Street Fighter on it can’t be too bad. Woot ;)!

I never thought about it, but it just hit me now that I’m in Japan. How in the world did you manage to import a fully unlocked phone :O. Every phone I see in Japan is tied to a contract of some sort.
Tell me the secret of where you got it from! I want to buy a phone that I can use in Japan and Canada too!
