Well, today I went to ACG’s mini convnetion held at Star Walk Buffet which is a five minute walk from Pacific Mall. I attended the convention today. Well, it was a small convention, so I didn’t expect much. I think I underestimated this convention. Well, it’s a small party like atmosphere with around 70 or so otaku in the room. The other thing is that food was provided. It was really nice. The thing is first come, first serve for tables. My friends and I were lucky enough to get a seat together.

For people who don’t know, ACG North America is an organization that is created by people who loves anime, games, manga, art A.K.A. Otaku. Well, I don’t know much about ACG since my friend introduced it to me a week ago. Well, it seems they host small to big convention. They are like Anime North and Hobby Star. As much as I know, they want to promote the otaku culture to people in North America like how it is in countries like Japan. Currently, they are mostly a Toronto base organization but want to expand to the US. They also have online draws on Facebook. The more you participate with their facebook group, the higher your chance is to win a prize. Well to find out more check out the Facebook Group or their main site.

Well the first cosplayers my friends and I saw there. Dark Chi and regular Chi. Still amazing cosplay!!!!! They looks so alike.

Well, we waited in line to get in. It didn’t take long to get in. We had to sign our names in. I think they were taking a survey or something to see how many people who came. Well, it was a launch party. So I did expect at least it’s a small place. There was like one dealer called Fantasy Box (Store in First Markham Place) and 3 artist tables. Well, to my knowledge of artist. One of them is Kaze-Hime which is one of my friends favorite artists. Well, either way, some of the art or most of it anyways are pretty cool!!!!!

Well, at like every con even small ones had at least a dealer. Well this dealer had some good items I must say. They had a lot of Nendoroids and some figures. Well, no mangas sold at this event sadly.

They had a nice variety of figures. I actually bought two of them and I’m pretty satisfy. I need to learn how to hold back once in a while with my trip to Japan coming in 6 days. Dammit, I need to now make an extra few more dollars before I go to Japan… another week of cramming at work…

Well, after the shoots. They had a singing competition. There was a lot of good singers there. Anyone could had joined. I didn’t want to since I get shy on stage. Well, the one holding the mic in the picture won. Still, all of them can sing. Really nice…

Well, the convnetion/ party ended, It was a fun time…

It’s getting empty now. Most of the people have left for home. Well, my friends and I went home.

Like every con I go to. I come back with loot.

Well, my loot from a small con. This was a surprise. I found a rare nendoroid there at ACG party. Well, I came back with some art and two nendoroids. Plus a free pen.

Well the nendoroids are NecoArc and Alazif. Well, I consider NecoArc rare since you can’t get it anywhere and was one of the first nendoroids to be released. It’s a great find.

Well, at the end of the day. I say, it was pretty fun. I like small conventions since it’s cool to get to know some local otakus and otakus that aren’t around in the area. This doesn’t mean I don’t like big cons aswell, it’s kust small cons is a great place to get to know otakus or people with the same hobby. Either way, ACG Launch Party was fun and it passes my con to go to again approval!!!!!!!!
