Well, FanExpo Day is today. It was an okay day and once again cosplayed as a Len from Vocaloid. This time around, there seems to be more people who know about Vocaloid. Today on day 3, there was a fairly a good amount of people there. Since it’s the last day, some people don’t attend because there barely isn’t anything to do on that day. Well, I go for the dealer room deals and stuff. Plus also they also ahd free stuff all the time at FanExpo.

Well, I got there around 12:30 PM and I got changed into my cosplay around 1:30PM…

There was a Bleach photo shoot. So I took a picture of them…

After the Bleach photo shoot. There was a Kingdom Hearts one. I swear, there was a lot of KH cosplayers. I think it’s over done to the point that I don’t want to cosplay as them…

At around 2 to 3PM…people just sitting around and hanging out… This is what I actually like on Sundays. With small groups, you actually get to know some of these cosplayers and otaku. It’s actually pretty fun. This is the reason why I like small conventions such as March and Dec con here in Toronto.

This is around the time I came back from Anime Name That Tune. I was able to win a prize while I was there. I also met up with Saku there once again. He was able to get a free Manga tshirt when they threw it into the crowd. Well, the hall seems to becoming more and more empty. Well, at this time, the convention was coming to a close… So people tend to leave at this time…

It’s getting late, so I decided to leave FanExpo.

My thoughts of this convention:

Well, I know FanExpo is a convention that is 5 convention in one. It’s just, I felt this year is mostly gear towards the gaming and scifi part and less on the rest. Well, anime section this year was pretty weak in my case. Every year, I think the anime guest should had at least one good Japanese person come over and sign autographs.

One of my favorite parts of this years FanExpo is meeting other people. Well, I was able to meet Saku of Saku’s AFK Corner and a faithful reader. Well hanged out a bit and talked as well. It;s cool to meet other people who shares the same passion for anime and otaku-ness as you. I meet some cosplayers while waiting for Anime Name That Tune to start. We talked about anime and otaku stuff in general. It was a fun time still…

I was also surprised that I didn’t buy much at this convention. I mostly used around $200 or so on this convention this year. This I have to say is the smallest amount I had ever used at a convention for three days.

Well, I enjoyed it more of less. It wasn’t the funniest convention I did, but it was enjoyable to a point. It was also the first time I actually cosplayed for three days in a row. I got a lot of people asking me for hugs and asking for pictures… It also seems that my friend and I were the only two Vocaloid cosplayers there. It seems that most people I don’t know about Vocaloid. So I say this, spread the love of Vocaloid!!!!!!! Something I didn’t enjoy, people thought that I was a female cosplayer. Really, did I look that feminine that people thought I was a girl. I felt I didn’t… Also some people doesn’t seem to tell the difference between Rin and Len. On day one, half the people thought I was Rin kagamine…there a huge differences…one the hair style, two, the clothes and three, Len is a guy and Rin is a girl…

Well, enough of me ranting about cosplaying and stuff… On to the convention loot.

Loot:

Well, this is my loot from FanExpo. I would had bought more but I have become more picky with the prices since coming back from Japan. I view that all figures sold there are expensive and how figures in Japan are so cheap. I also had over spent in Japan. I kind of over did it in Japan so I didn’t have much money going to FanExpo.

Well, my loot consist of 3 t-shirts, 3 figures, 4 pins, a key chain, a Stark Industry poster holder rocket launcher, an autographed Mega 64 DVD, a free comic and Kaze-Hime bookmarks. All this equal to an amount of $200. Well, two of the three t-shirts were free. I won the Animenfo t-shirt at Name That Tune and got the free Dead Space t-shirt from the Starstruck booth.

Well, I was actually surprised that I found the blue nendoroid tachikoma. I consider it extremely rare since I always seen the other colors. I got a Shuraki #2 figure since I wasn’t able to get it in Japan. Still, I got some good loot here. I’m pretty satisfied with my loot. I hope you enjoy this.
