New Reading Material…Sort of…

Short post today. Well, new magazines I got today. If you all can see, it is in Japanese. I’m glad that they came. I ordered these before I went to Japan. If I didn’t, I would had got these mags in Japan. Well as you see, the Dengeki G’s (the bottom ones) came with figures. There are three figures in all. The first one came out earlier which I already had. We, so far for me, these are the latest issue of the Dengeki G’s and I’m waiting on my newest edition of Newtype. It’s pretty cool to have figures that comes with your magazine. Also it’s a limited edition of them which can be only be obtain by buying these magazines. I think Len Vesper did a review on these figures for his site. Well, looks like I get to look through these mags later on…
This is my magazine that I got before I went to Japan. This magazine came with a figure. This figure is part of the other two shown above. I might do a review on these mags later on. Still, all these magazines are all good!!!!! I just love getting my hands on the Newtype magazines since they discontinued it here in the Canada. I wish they can bring back Newtype USA!!!
If any of you want me to do a review on these magazine of on the figures that came with it, just comment and tell me. I will try my best to do it.
Also for all the readers from North America. Do you wish to have Newtype USA come back? Would you want it to be the same Newtype USA or something different?
Nice magazines u got there. I only get Megami Magazines as I like the posters inside them. Depending on the goods they have inside Dengeki G’s editions, I might get an issue one day.
Oooh nice! I’ve just recently got an old issue of Newtype which i loved, and I’ve heard a lot of mixed Feelings about the new one.
Where did you order them from? Just curious as I’ve been looking for some anime magazines to start buying.
I would like to see newtype USA make a comeback but I don’t see the happening for a long time. My substitute for newtype is Otaku USA and Anime insider, their good but not great
I read NewType when I was little, but it doesn’t appeal to me anymore.

Nice magazines, I’ve always wanted to subscribe to one of those (even if only for the bonus gifts). As for Newtype USA, I liked it when I was first getting “serious” about anime, but by now I highly doubt I’d find much of it interesting.

Yes! I want Newtype USA back! T_T It was fine the way it was… *sniff* I mostly liked it for the pictures and news but, I also enjoyed reading some of the articles by Clamp or Tow Ubukata. I’ve read a few other anime magazines but, they just weren’t as good. Though, maybe it’s a good thing it’s gone, then I don’t have to worry about finding more bookshelf space for it. ^_^’
Optic: If you are going to Japan. You can go to K-Books in Akiba, and they’ll have a lot of old issues of Dengeki, Megumi, Newtype and others…
Nomad: At my local manga rental store. If they have japanese mags or anime mags. you can ask them if they can order it for you…

Eternal: Newtype USA would be good right now. No other anime mags here in NA is on the level of Newtype…
