You all could had guess this was coming sooner or later. Since this came I’m, I was going crazy and watching it over and over again. Finally, the Lucky Star OVA comes out today!!!!! I was so excited when I watched it!!! Well, as some of you know, today the subbed episode didn’t come out yet. I had to watch it RAW. Yes, I watched it in pure Japanese. Still, it was sooo cool!!! I’m not too fond of writing anime reviews and stuff. I do warn you that this will contain spoilers of the OVA. You have been warned. I also have screenshots too. I think I went overload with the screenshots for this. I basically screenshot every scene… Well, basically it’s split up into 7 little stories which fits into a 42 minute OVA. A lot of parodies in this OVA. Let’s see if you can find them all.

Well, the OVA starts up with everyone getting out of bed.

This whole OVA begins in Minami’s house…

Cherry chan…waking up…

That’s like me every morning…Konata wakes up…the latest…

Kagami reads a newspaper…

She’s still asleep…and brushing her teeth…

WOW, Miyuki sure wakes up early…and makes cookies…

Yukata fixing her hair…

Wow, she’s already awake and walking down the street…

Sleeping on the train…

JK? Weird title…no clue what that means…or does it mean Jokes… That can explain this whole story…

Miyuki arrives and visit Minami and Cherry appears in the corner…

A bit too much loving huh…

Patty is trying and failing to wake the dog and get Cherry to listen to her…

Cherry has something against Hiyori… Always so physical with her… I feel sorry for her…

The scene then change to Lucky Star MMO.

With a click of a mouse…

…and few seconds of pressing some keys…your in the world of…

LUCKY STAR MMO…

It seems that Konata, Nanako sensei, Kagami and Tsukasa are all in a party playing. Surprising Tsukasa knows home to play a game on the computer with the others…

They all are in a battle…

It seems that Kagami is the healer…I think she should be in the back…

Tsukasa has no clue what’s she’s doing…or does she…

Nope, she is eating? In the middle of the battle…is that even possible…okay…

Tsukasa is trying to talk…

Everyone except Nanako went somewhere on Golden Week and left poor Nanako alone. All she did was gaining levels…

Kagami is left home alone and “Yuki” Konata comes to pay a visit…it’s like the Cinderalla story…

Kagami watching TV…

Family all leaves…for a dance…Kagami doesn’t want to…

Konata appears soon after…in her Yuki Nagato cosplay!!!

Konata uses her magaical power to add chairs and wheels…

Yuki Konata leaves sadden that Kagami rejects her answer not to go with her…

Konata doesn’t give up…she gave the house wheels…

Kagami feels that she need to stop her and agrees to ride with her on the small shrine like car…

Konata says that she needs a change of clothes…and pulls out her magic wand…

She magically turns her clothes into maid clothing…she is angry about these clothes… She wants Konata to give her clothes back…

Konata does as Kagami says but gives Kagami her Shrine Maiden outfit… She is angry about ti once again…

Rin Tohsaka cosplay… I swear, she does look a lot like her…

Now a Miku Hatsune cosplay complete with leek…no Kagami is really pissed off at Konata…Kagami yells to change her back, but then…

Her star on her wand falls off…

Looks like your stuck like this till Konata gets it fixed…

Konata looks like she’s going to on a killing spree…

A wrestling match?…

Nanaka completely pwns!!!!!

She talks to the prince…

Who somehow is Misao…how the heck did she become a prince(she should be a princess)…and claims that her bride will beat her…

Kagami is not impressed and wants to go home…

Kagami has no interest in fighting and becoming Misao’s bride…

Ahhhh….Kagami kawaii Miku face……with leek…

Misao begs her not to go…but she doesn’t listen…and leaves…

Almost fixed…sort of… Ah mans best tool…tape!!!!!!

Time runs out…and she has to say this phrase to return everything to normal…

She wakes up and she says something like “Lets join our bodies…”

Tsukasa is there…in her surprised look… and says “dot dot dot dot dot”

The suspense…Kagami is completely red and Tsukasa is completely in shock (Bomberman) mode…

Tsukasa: Don’t worry I didn’t hear anything…and I got to go send Konata an email now…

Kagami: No…No…wait…not her…

Tsukasa walks away and Kagami gives chase…

On the the volleyball game…Team Kagami vs Team Tsukasa!!!

Tsukasa is really tired…

Tsukasa is flat on her face…

Tsukasa is so discouraged about not being as good as Kagami…

Misao gives her a word of couragement…

LOL!!!!!!! Just pure LOL!!!!

Their bruning desire to win!!!

Kagami: …

Konata: …

Konata serves!!!

Miyuki gets the ball…

*Eyes wide open* Why the heck is Alto Saotome (Macross Frontier) there…when was he ever a girl…

Konata: I got a plan…get in formation!!!

Ah….Jet Stream Attack…huh…how does that work…

Konata: Just trust me…

Kagami: What is she thinking…

They try to caught up…

Tsukasa tries too hard…

Misao blocked Alto’s shot…

They are tired…

…and the game is all tied…

Tsukasa is exhausted…

Kagami is up to serve…

Then bang…ball to face and ball wins… That really got to hurt…

That does leave a mark…

Tsukasa starts crying…

Konata taunts Kagami why did she do that…

Kagami replies that it’s a game…konata is in shock…such a cruel person…

Misao tries to cheer Tsukasa up and she gets back to her feet…

She tries to win the game…

Then gets the fence…and miss the ball…

Tsukasa finally understands that she can’t beat Kagami. One day, she will… Right now we all know that Tsukasa can beat Kagami in cooking anytime…

It seems that your cast got lost in the woods thanks to Konata’s directions…

Konata is on the floor tired…

Kagami says that their lost because of her…

A flash back comes and we all see that Konata pointing that they should take the rocky path instead of the right path…..it’s a shortcut…

They all try to get back to camp…

Their cellphone failed them… Good thing Tsukasa didn’t loose it again…

It’s getting dark…

Everyone gets hungry…and Konata has 3 oreo like cookies…

Wait, there are 4 people and three cookies…

Everyone gets a lesson from our favorite info girl Miyuki!!!!!

Everyone is now full of energy!!!

It’s dark now…Kagami is hating this…

Walking…

Konata and her new ghost stories…

Flashlight mode…

Tsukasa is easily scared…

Then the stick comes from Konata…she goes scared crazy!!!

Konata continues with her stories and the stick comes again…

It makes me wonder how did she get a stick like that!!!

Impression:

I was pretty surprised about this. They went all out in this OVA. I mean that did a lot of things I never thought happen. Well, I love the MMO part. 3D Lucky Star. If the MMO was like that these days, I would play it. There isn’t any MMO like that. I wish it was though. If there was, I think there will be a following of otakus that would play it. I also love Tsukasa’s many faces. My fav was the one is when Kagami wakes up and says something. That surprised look of Tsukasa is just speechless. Something I didn’t expect coming. Live Action Lucky Channel. I have to say it was surprising and it was still good!!! Funny and I get to see the real Shiraishi get soaked by a hose so bad!!! I was crying in laughter when I saw that!!! Either way, I love this OVA!!! I just can’t get enough of it. I so far had rewatched over and over again. I think I watched it around 8 times already. I just lvoe it so much. It too hard to say how good it is, I’m just in Lucky Star Love mode!!!

This OVA, like any Lucky Star episode contains a lot of parodies. I so for can find a few parodies. Like the Code Geass one where the sales clerk says he was Zero and he has returned, a Cindarella story, Kagami’s cosplay (FSN and Vocaloid), Hare hare Yukai victory pose, Konata’s ringtone, Soul Eater (Konata says that cat’s aren’t witches), Macross Frontier with the appearance of Alto Saotome in the volleyball game, if you had watched it you can hear theclock count down of the TV show 24 and Jet Stream Attack which is from Gundam and Gundam Seed Destiny. They went parody crazy in this OVA.

Well, I think I get what the title mean now. It means Jokes or you type it on the computer jk jk. Well, it was basically a joke OVA. It has nothing to do with the main story but just some funny random stories that made up. This OVA is basically made just for laughs.

Like any Lucky Star fan, I hope there will be a second season!!!!! The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya gets a second season, why not Lucky Star!!! I bet a lot of people would love to see a second season!!! I would love to see the Lucky Star cast in something like University or something. It would be cool to see somethign like that.

Well, it’s time for me to get back to work on my theme. I might add more later but we’ll see. I hope you all enjoy this little Lucky Star OVA review!!!
