A lot of you seems to want a Halloween shoot, I listen and deliver. A bit late I know. I finally got the chance today to play Red Alert 3 and I lost track of time. Anyways, as you might or might not noticed with this photo shoot. If you guessed that I changed the background your right. It’s the first time I changed the background for a shoot. I did experiment before and they didn’t turn out as good as this one. I’m still pretty noob using different background colors for shoots. I guess you can say I’m too use in using a white background. I also thinking of doing a different why in doing my explanation in my shoots. For now, lets leave that stuff for later. I so far have no clue on how to do the explanation on shoots then the why I’ve been doing. Anyhow, enough of this, on to the shoot!!!
Her face is too kawaii for Halloween!!!
Those eyes…can’t stare away…
She’s happy that Halloween is here!!!
It’s like “spooky” time of the year…must dress for the occasion…
Fan service right her…pantsu shot!!!
Hmmmm, what’s better, pumpkin or no pumpkin…
Pantsu…pink…
Magical base…
Well, the first time I tried using a different background. It turned out better then I thought. Maybe I should do more shoots in balck then white or in many other colors as soon as I figure out which figures goes with which color. I felt I should add a little dark style in this shoot since it’s Halloween. I fell it’s either too bright and too dark again. I just don’t know what’s better or not for black backgrounds. If anyone has tips on using different color background I would be glad to hear them.
Melissa Seraphy is made by GoodSmile Company. If you’ve been a long time reader, you would had know I got this in Japan this past summer. This figure is just stunning I have to say. Everything is done really nicely and wonderful. I just have a small problem on the paint used for the gloves. I just say it reflects light just a bit too much. Well, I think it’s there to represent leather or something. The base is plain with a magical seal on it. Something I’m dissappointed at how am I suppost to stand this figure if there isn’t a place to hold it up. A small piece of plastic in the base is holding up the pumpkin. What happens if I want to leave the pantsu on instead of the pumpkin. I have no clue how. Eitehr way, it’s an amazing figure and a must get!!! I give this figure an “A-”.
As some of you out there in the world knows that I got this in Japan when I went this past summer. Sadly I forgot which store I got it at. I don’t remmeber cause I went into so many places in Japan, it’s hard to recall which place I got it at. Eitehr way, when I saw this figure, I must have it and being $40 at the time (as well as a GSC figure…) I couldn’t resist. I just had to have it. So that’s basically the store. In Japan, an otaku like me or any other foreign otaku who goes to Akihabara for the first time will go nuts and buy all sorts of goodies without a care in the world. I know cause I spent $3000 there. I will spend more next year and be expecting an extremely large loot when coming back from Japan next year. Maybe I’ll also be able to come back with a huge loot from Anime North too. So many events so little money…argh, the problem that plague us otaku…money… Well, I’ll see how much I’ll be able to spend next year. Now on to planning the Halloween night time fun for my friends and I…

The photos turned out loking good because you choose the right color for your figure. Figuring out what background color to use it’s somewhat hard. You must pick a fitting background for your object, not just plain white or black.
Anyway, i think the hair light is too bright. You should get a diffuser or something to reduce the light. Her face and hair are overexposured in some photos…
nice pictures, that’s one of the figures I wish I had. Halloween with figures just doesn’t seem as good knowing that she’s out there and not on my shelf. I know I’d spend myself into bankruptcy if I made it to Japan, unless of course I lived there. Then I’d have to be making tons of money cuz I’d be spending way too often.
These photos look a lot better. Though in some it looks a little bright on her. Still, a very nice figure.
Hey, happy Halloween to you! Hope you have fun~
Embrace for pumpkin monsta
Nice shots there with the attempt to bring contrast. But some of the pics turns out of focus LOL
Need higher res
If I ever go to Akihabara I’ll have to bring along my friend to help me monitor spending. But I’m not sure how that will turn out, because we vowed to watch each others’ spending at AX and we failed pretty badly. xD
she looks really cute, I want to get her but I’m going to get the nendoroid version of her instead.
Sonic_Ver2: A diffuser huh…I will, when I have time…
Persocom: If you do go to Japan…bring a friend to help you look at your money spending…
Larien: I know. I’m trying to tone down the light just a bit…I’m figuring it out some how…
E-Jump: I realized that when I looked. There’s room for improvement…
Coco The Bean: If you do go to Japan, that’s a must. Hard to hold back in Akihabara…I know that first hand…
Otaku Dan: I have both…I think I should had did both the nendo and figure…
she’s just too cute to not use for a Halloween post.
Happy Halloween~
how come nobody does a witch yuki figure shoot for halloween? ^^;
Pink pantsu is a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween, isn’t it? ;P
yep, black bg is easier than white
master the black bg, until you can do perfect black, and then move to white bg
Dancing Queen: She is just too kawaii!!!
Kairu Ishimaru: You too!!!
Gordon: I don’t have one. I only have the Figma version…
Eternal: Any color pantsu is a wonderful way to celebrate any occasion…
Ron~: I think I need the right equipment first before I can master both of them…
Great pics! I also have the Melissa Seraphy figure and love the pumpkin aspect of the figure.
