2 New Packages!!!

Short post today. Well, I got two new packages in the mail today. Surprisingly enough, they’re from the same place, Play-Asia. I was laugh at first but then confused why didn’t they just box it into one box. Well, I’m glad it came. One package I’ve been waiting like forever for it to arrive. Play-Asia says that they were backed up with orders of the item and they might take a while. I’m happy finally after a month from ordering it finally arrives. The other was on the 15% off sale Play-Asia had. I got here for I think it was around $60 CAD. Good price. Alright, enough of not saying what I get. Here is what was in the box.

The small package contained my Lucky Star OVA DVD that I ordered over a month ago!!! The large package contained my new Alter Unison Vita figure!!! I got this figure when Play-Asia was ahving a sale and I couldn’t resist getting get her. I just bought her. She is one of many orders from Play-Asia that I had ordered. I think to this point, I have around 6 orders from Play-Asia that have not been done yet and 1 ordered shipped.
This gets me thinking, do any of you buy figures online or you just don’t trust online sites. If you do order, which one you go to often and for those who doesn’t, why don’t you order?
For me, I order from a few sites. Play-Asia, Hobby Search and Hobby Link Japan. These sites is where I order most of my figures from. I do also buy figures from my local anime store. Ebay is a last resort for me if I just can’t find the figure or if it’s a Wonderfest exclusive.
One a side note now, I finally bothered to remove my old shelf and drawer full of lego. Yes, lego. I just kept them but I have no clue why I kept it. Well, I cleaned it out and now I have plenty of room for my figures. I think I’ll buy another glass shelf soon. I also now finally have room for all my figure boxes. YAY!!! Now time to order more figures!!!
I’ve only ordered a few figures online so far, since I’ve only started collecting figures this year, and I don’t quite have enough money for my hobby. xD
But I go through Play-Asia, and I have the little Hatsune Miku figma coming at the end of the month through ToysLogic. I also have ordered from eStarland, and found that they sell official figures also, so I’ll be getting some more from there, too. <3
I have a really hard time trusting sites, though, so I’ll order small things first, to make sure they’re valid, and then I’ll order larger things, and larger things. If even one thing isn’t an official item, they’re off my list for good.
Since there are no local stores around here, I resort to online. The 3 online stores u mention are the places I shop for figures. HLJ mostly because their shipping is cheap. I love cheap shipping. ^^

Was it a hard choice or u didn’t really care which one?
Only buy figures and/or anime goods online. Even if stores are based in France, since around my city, there’s nothing interresting

I order my PVC figures from HLJ/Archonia since they have fair offers,vheap shipping and accept PayPal/Bank transfer.Havent had a problem with anyone of those so far.
I once ordered an Artbook via Play-Asia and wasnt that satysfied.It had a bend edge…

Wow, pretty nice haul. I’d like to see your full of figure shelf after you rearrange them.
Anyway, i only bought my figures from HLJ and Play-Asia, and games only from Play-Asia. Local figure stores is my last resort, it could be the cheapest solution but they use very slow shipment for around 2 months after release date, and it’s painful to wait.
I do buy figurines online. Usually before I buy from an online store I haven’t bought from before, I google the name + bootleg to find out its authenticity.

yay more vita love ^_^ at the moment my stores of choice are hobby search and hlj since they seem to be capable of filling my pre-orders ^^; i’ve got one figure on order from play-asia right now… assuming that goes through alright i’ll probably start comparing prices with them in the future…
when i first started collecting i had to resort to ebay a lot because so much stuff i wanted was hard to get otherwise. as far as i can tell i think i was successful in avoiding bootlegs ^^;
your post is reminding me how much i enjoyed the lucky star ova… i think ima rewatch it when i get home ^^;

I haven’t really ordered from anywhere online. No paypal or credit card yet. :/ I did make a preorder on a figure at RightStuf (my dad helped) so, we’ll see if they’re good or not.
Since you usually order from those 3 sites, they must be ok to order from? I would like to start buying some figures online but, I’m not sure of what places are the best to order from.
Poison poison poison! XD They say the unison vita doesn’t have a good paint job .. I have one too. Lots of people here canceled their preorder because of the painting - white over red T_T

I also started collecting seriously this year and grew by llike 60 figures already…
This is an expensive hobby but a great hobby!!!

Blowfish: Depends on what mood the shipping guys are. I had that problem once…when I shipped my box out from Japan and came back to Toronto, one of my box was in bad condition but the inside content was okay!!!

Meronpan: Ebay it depends where the seller is from. I look at which country the seller is from. If it’s Hong Kong, China or Taiwan…I will never order from there. Bootleg…

Larein: I do recommend go for Hobby Link Japan, Play-Asia or Hobby Search, the link is on the nav bar. They are good sites and have a lot of stuff to buy from!!!
