On the fifth day of Christmas, I found under the tree, a Rei Ayanami. The series comes to the end on Christmas day here in Canada. As now, it’s Christmas and what’s better then a regular figure is a xmas theme figure. Well, I feel my shoot, the background always fights with the figure somehow. I’ll figure somehow to fix it soon. Well, for people who doesn’t know, Rei Ayanami from the classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. I have to just say, I damn loved this anime as it was one of those animes that leaves a great impression.

If I remember correctly, I got this figure at AN a couple of years ago. I just don’t remember how much sadly. It’s from the Sega line of UFO prizes.

Review on Sega Rei Ayanami:

As you know, this figure is at least a few years old. It’s a good sculpted figure for the time and the details are somewhat good. The pose is also pretty nice too. It’s a good figure for a good cheap price too.

Well, you pay for what you get. The quality of the paint is something I’m too fond of since it’s a bit too shiny. You can say it has the Koto shine in it. With most Sega figures, there isn’t much to say about it as the quality is pretty low. They seem to have improved on their quality nowadays. Why I say that is with the Haruhi figures they did.

It’s a good cheap figure, I rate this figure with a “B”. You pay for what you get but I do say it’s a good figure for the holiday season.

Other Thoughts:

I need to somehow turn down the light so the background won’t fight with figure.  I might need to get a new light soon. I need to also figure out a good way to use different backgrounds and create a new style or something in my shoots. It’ll take sometime to figure out and I’ll figure it hopefully by the next shoot.

Also, boxing day is almost here!!!!! I so far hope that a good lens will be cheaper on boxing day and I’ll provide some coverage on that day if I can in the huge crowd of shoppers. What do you plan on getting on boxing day?

Me, I am planning to get a new 24 inch monitor for my desktop computer and a ton of new games that I’ve been dying to get my hands on. Also on some new clothes which I need.
