The Song of Miku Hatsune

IMG_3126 [photos]

The shoot is finally here!!! Well, as I said before, today shoot is Miku Hatsune from Vocaloid. This shoot was tricky as my lighting was off and other problems a came up when doing this shoot. With some adjustments and such I think I got the right settings and such. It turned out pretty nice. Well let’s get on with the pictures.

I obtained this figure from Play-Asia and at the time I purchased this wonderful figure, there was a sale. I think if I remembered correctly was around $58 USD with shipping. It was a good deal I say.

Review of Miku Hatsune:

This Miku Hatsune figure is made by Good Smile Company. There many things I can say but I came sum it all in one word, that word is amazing. Good Smile did an amazing job on this figure. The detail on this figure is just excellent. Her skirt to her base are just amazingly detailed. Her face is just perfect as well. I pose is also really nice!!! Out of all the Vocaloid figures out there, Good Smiles Miku is the best out there. I know I complain about how the bases look and stuff, but this time I have nothing to complain about. Her base is really nice and even has Miku Hatsune on it. I think that this figure brings out the essence of what Miku is. It’s just an amazing figure.

There is really no negative things to say about this figure. For once, there isn’t any thing bad to say.

Overall, this figure is really well done and I give it an “A+”. It’s a must own figure!!!

Other Thoughts:

It was frustrating at first cause some of the pictures were pretty bad. After quite a few adjustments, I felt that this was the best shoot I can turn out. I feel I can do better but also feel I’m still improving. There is a lot of things I improve on and things I need to improve on. Well, practice makes perfect.

I might have another shoot tomorrow as well depending on my time and if I’m tired or not.

O.. You managed to get Hatsune Miku for AnimeXtreme? Since when did they start taking orders for new stuff.

Hmm… I have the Hatsune Miku figure too, but imo the Volks Hatsune Miku is in fact slightly better.

Nice one, particularly the hair. I’m one of the few that hasn’t been bitten by the Miku Hatsune bug. Now if they had a scale version of Kagami in the Miku getup, I’d get it.

I see that Miku is kinda difficult to shoot. She lacks hot colors -red/orange- and does not really go well with white bg. Oh, didn’t shoot her box? I thought she has the best box so far!

Mine still sits in the box left to be unopened for an unknown amount of time. It’s still a good figure and I can see that you are getting better with your lighting skills.

Strangely, this figure didn’t wow me that much until I saw it on display at a store and my jaw dropped.

One of my special figures considering I got her as a B’day present from my mate. He even gave me a choice to pick it. ^^

It’s not surprising almost everyone has this figure. ^^
