Arrival in Japan, Day 1

IMG_0004 [photos]

Well, before that 12 hour flight that nearly drove me insane, so far the trip has been okay. I’m a bit tired being awake for over 24 hours. Anyways, the day started when I arrived in the airport. I quickly headed to get my airline ticket. Today’s post is more like a gallery of photos than anything. I’ve also wrote a somewhat detailed report on what the day was like…

IMG_0008 [photos]

I’m going to travel by Air Canada to Japan…

IMG_0006 [photos]

Waited in line and that took some time before it was my turn to get the ticket.

IMG_0020 [photos]

Here, my friends and I says our final good byes to our parents. My mom cried as this is the first trip I’m going alone for an extremely long amount of time.

IMG_0046 [photos]

This is something I must do before leaving Toronto. I must get a Tim Hortons before take off cause there is no Tim Hortons in Japan…

IMG_0045 [photos]

The dining area here in the airport…

IMG_0061 [photos]

This is the plane I’ll be on…for 12 hours…

IMG_0074 [photos]

Sadly I only video tapped my flight to Japan. Be posting the videos of Japan after my trip from Japan. You didn’t miss much as it was a boring flight and I had no sleep…at all…

IMG_0083 [photos]

There is always a crowd when people are going to get off.

IMG_0084 [photos]

A look outside…wow…

IMG_0091 [photos]

Heading for baggage claims…

IMG_0094 [photos]

I AM OFFICIALLY IN JAPAN because I say this!!!

IMG_0096 [photos]

Welcome to Japan just makes me feel I made it!!!

IMG_0101 [photos]

Getting our luggage took a while…waiting for my big luggage…

IMG_0104 [photos]

Once we got that done. We quickly got our ticket for a limo bus to our hotel.

IMG_0106 [photos]

IMG_0107 [photos]

Rented a phone from Softbank.

If anyone wants to meet up, just call this Japan number 080-3659-9645

IMG_0109 [photos]

I know it’s Japan when there are vending machines…

IMG_0113 [photos]

We walked outside we get this blast of humid hot weather. It was hot, I won’t lie, but it’s also very humid here too.

IMG_0116 [photos]

IMG_0119 [photos]

My ticket for the bus. I have 3 of them in my hand and 2 of them are for my friends.

IMG_0120 [photos]

The bus arrived and we boarded the bus and went on our way to Tokyo…

The bus usually takes an hour to get to Tokyo depending on traffic…

IMG_0122 [photos]

IMG_0128 [photos]

I can never get bored of this…the scenery here is just…wow…

It’s very different compared to what the scenery is like in Toronto…

IMG_0199 [photos]

Around this time, we got stuck in the traffic and it took a really long time. I think it took an extra 45 minutes to get to the hotel…

IMG_0207 [photos]

We were high up, and was able to take some good photos of the city…

IMG_0239 [photos]

Arrived at the hotel and checked in. 3 beds in a small room…you get what you pay. I rather pay more on otaku goods…

IMG_0241 [photos]

The view from my room…I am on the 28th floor…

IMG_0243 [photos]

Such a nice view…

IMG_0246 [photos]

We went out for some grub…Ikebukuro is pretty lively…

IMG_0247 [photos]

IMG_0249 [photos]

A Hello Kitty store…I’ll have to walk into that store sooner or later…

IMG_0251 [photos]

After we grabbed some food at Jonathan’s, we headed back to the hotel for some good R&R.

Next day…WonFes

I’ll be attending WonFes and be wearing an Affliction GSP t-shirt (White). If anyone want to meet me, just call my Japan number.

Awww…so lucky. I am currently looking for a place to stay in Japan. As soon as I find a place, I will book my tickets asap. And, do we need a visa to enter Japan?

I was thinking of New Koyo as well but it got a lot of bad reviews about the AC. I stayed at Aizuya and loved it. Same area too: http://www.aizuya-inn.com/

ahhh I hope I can get my own trip figured out for late Nov. One of my friends that I’m planning to go with is being uncooperative in planning around me and another friend’s schedules -_-

your first pics of the Ikebukuro streets made me smile instantly. I was there 3 years ago and long for it again… lol

Say, are you gonna check your email often while in Japan? I wanted to get in contact with you about something and tried to at the beginning of the month, but I never got a reply so I dunno if it was a go… I’m about to send another one from gmail right now (used hotmail before but it’s been pretty stupid lately)…!
