Lets get third figure photo shoot this week started. Today’s figure is Shiki Ryogi by GoodSmile Company. This was the first release of the Shiki figures from GoodSmile Company. For people who don’t know who Shiki is, she is from Typemoon’s Kara no Kyokai or in English The Garden of Sinners.

I got her when I was in Japan this year. I remembered that I found her in Kotobukiya’s store in Akihabara when I was looking through their figure collection. She was decently priced so I wasted no time in buying her as at that time I already watched the 6th movie the other day.

Review of Shiki Ryogi:

There isn’t much to say about Shiki Ryogi. The figure overall is pretty solid and well detailed. From the boots to her face, all the details and paint are all good. It’s a simple figure and really captures what the character Shiki is all about. Nothing appealing and nothing extra added, just the look that Shiki gives before she kills her victim.

A negative point is that this figure isn’t really good for posing in different angles except 1. Also as a friend told me and I now noticed is that her arm that is holding the knife is a bit too far back.

My overall mark for Shiki Ryogi is 9/10. It’s a really solid figure and will be great in any collection.

Other Thoughts:

Three down now, and 4 to go. There are four more shoots before this weeks ends. This is my first Shiki shoot I did and I say it turned out pretty well. Sadly all of the photos are all vertical shots as the other shots I did that were non vertical were terrible. Also, Shiki looks better this way.
