Sorry everyone for lack of posts and everything. I’ve been busy for the past couple of weeks since MTAC and will be busy until the end of the month. I’ll be moving to a new place soon and must pack up and get ready to move. That means packing the entire room of mine and all the anime goods that I have collected over the years and put them in boxes and moved that to the new house. It’s hard work and on top of that, I got to practice with the band I’m in for an upcoming performance. With conventions coming up and my favorite of them all in Canada that is coming up Anime North, I have to finish cosplays (planned 2 cosplays for Anime North) and props for that important convention. Also on top of all that, I got exams and final projects coming up. Not easy but when is life ever easy. Once all that is done, I think I can get back to my daily posting ways.

Well anyways, on to what I was meaning to do. It’s been a long time since I did a photo shoot. I think the last shoot I did was last year. So this makes it my first photo shoot of the year. Well, I promise to do more photo shoots and hopefully do at least 1 more before I move to my new place. Today’s shoot is on Ranka Lee Nyan version by Megahouse. Ranka is from Macross Frontier and the outfit she is wearing is from where she works in the series. Well, enjoy the shoot!!!

Review of Ranka Lee Nyan Ver:

Ranka Lee Nyan version is made by Megahouse. Megahouse does pretty good figures. The overall quality of the figure is pretty good. The apron stands out a lot being pretty detail. The pose for the PVC is pretty appealing and eye catching. It stood out when I say it back at Summer Wonder Festival last year during my trip to Japan when I was just walking around. The base itself that holds the figure is pretty plain but makes up for it with the logo of the nyan nyan shop in Macross Frontier. Other all details used on the face is accurate and captures Ranka’s cheerful side.

Something that bothers me is the shiny paint they used for the Chinese dress. Also detail for the hair is pretty plain. Minus that, the figure is pretty solid.

My rating for this figure is an “8.5/10″. I suggest you really should get your hands on this figure if you don’t have it as soon as possible.

Other Thoughts:

It’s been a long time since I did a photo shoot. I think I got a bit rusty but hope to get back to what I was before, if not better. I think I’m having writers block too. When writing the review I was at a lost for words at times. I think it’s just that I’m rusty in doing a review since I haven’t done it for over 4 months.

Like I said at the beginning of the post, I’ve been busy packing. Well, packing also limits me in buying figures and also limits me in picking a good figure to do a photo shoot with. I think I’ve been having problems deciding on which figure to use in a photo shoot. Too many figures I want to photos of but so little time. I think around mid April to the end of April I won’t be able to update due to exams and me moving. Hopefully by the beginning of May, I’ll be able to do more posts like I used to do.

I’ll be also posting more about my cosplays on the blog. Like a lot of people, I’m pretty much camera shy. I love to take photos but don’t like to be on camera sometimes. Well, I hope to change that soon, I hope. I also plan to make a cosplay page that features cosplay photo shoots I did with cosplays I’ve done and maybe some group cosplays I’ve done with friends. Right now, I’m working on my cosplays for Anime North 2010. I’ve so far put together 2 cosplay pair/group for the convention. As usual I’m going as Len Kagamine (which version, not telling until after Anime North) and working on my Flynn (Tales of Vesperia) cosplay. On top of that, I have to make props for cosplays for my friends as well. Which in a way will take a while. So far I got to make a BRS (Black Rock Shooter) cannon for a friend, my Tales of Vesperia cosplay groups weapons (which is a lot of weapons plus shields) and my Vocaloid groups props as well. This all requires a ton of time to prepare and make. I hope it turns out well.

On top of that, I have to pack up. Packing is the easy part. As pretty much all I do is put my figures back into their boxes and shipped them to my new place. For my new place, I got more room and I hope to take down a wall in the basement so I can make 2 rooms into 1. I just need to figure out how to do that. Note: I’m not a handy man… I hope to take pics of my new place once I get settled in and also make a post on my new room version 2. I bet most people who reads my room post wonder how my room will be once I move. I can say this for sure, I got more room which means more room for my figures and such.
