Figure Photo Shoot: Hatsune Miku Tony Taka Version
Sorry for no updates lately, been way too busy with end of the term stuff at school. I’m currently in exam week and studying as hard as I can (but I find it hard due to anime and other distractions). As of right now, I got two exams left and I’ll be done my exams by Thursday. Through all that, I finally found some time to update my blog. I’ve recently got a shipment of figures and I did a figure photo shoot of my newest Hatsune Miku figure, this time it’s the Tony Taka version of Miku. Being a fan of T2, when I first saw that this figure was up for pre-order, I jumped at the chance to get it and pretty much pre-ordered it on the spot.
Review of Hatsune Miku Tony Taka Version :
This amazing Miku figure was made by Max Factory. What stands out to me the most is the pose. It’s exactly sculpted to the picture that T2 did of Miku and it looks outstanding! The overall look of the figure from head to toe looks great! What really pulls me in is how Miku’s face is done. I have to say, it is perfect and the face to the entire figure matches T2’s art style perfectly. The paint is smooth and is done pretty well. I felt that they should use a less shiny silver for her shirt but that is just personal opinion. The details are done pretty well with all the ruffles in her clothes to all the little details of her skirt and the small details on the bottom of her shirt makes this figure stand out a lot from the other Vocaloid figures. Also the hair is another big selling point. The amount in the detail in Miku’s hair is just amazing. The hair compliments the twist pose that Miku is doing well and the detail in the hair makes it more life like.Compared to other Vocaloid figures that are in the market, I felt that this figure stands out (in a good way) the most due to the more of an energetic pose than previous Miku figures where most of them have her stand up straight with one hand on her headphones and the other hand just by the waist. I say this could be the best Miku figure that is out so far.
I didn’t find any problems so far but I have one concern. It seems that part of the figure is unstable and seems it can tip over if there is any sudden shock done to my figure shelf. I still have no put in the plastic pegs that came with the figure as I find that it ruins the look of the figure somewhat due to have two small plastic poles support it.
My overall rating for this figure is 9/10. It’s a great figure to get for any Vocaloid or T2 fan. I suggest you pick it up now before they become hard to find!!!
Other Thoughts:
I decided to the change the review up a bit by putting my review in the middle of the post instead of the end. I find that just putting rows of pictures than a long paragraph at the end is somewhat boring, so I decided to just move the review around a bit. Also been trying to improve on my photo skills but I find it hard due to the gaps in time between photo shoots. I think so far that it’s been over a month since my last shoot. I feel I should do at least a figure shoot a week or somewhere around that amount to improve on my photo taking ability. This might change for a week or so if there is a big convention on that week like Anime North which is in May and UFC FanExpo which is in two weeks.
This reminds me that I should find out if there is any more new T2 doujins as I got most of his doujinshi since Comiket 78 last year. Now I wonder is there any new ones. I should check it out soon. Speaking of Comiket, currently I’m not sure that I’ll be able to attend summer Comiket this year due to my entire family saying that it is dangerous and all the earthquakes. I feel that they listen to the news way too much and pretty much believe what the news says. I think there is a bit of truth in the news but then most of the news about Japan currently is way too exaggerated. I’m still trying to go again for the summer if possible. Even if it’s for a week, I would go just for summer Comiket.
In other news, been way too busy with exams lately .All my school work and exams has been getting in the way of my posts but then, school comes first. I’ll be able to go back to my regular updating schedule once all my exams are done this week. Also been catching up with some anime lately and I do plan to write what do I think of some anime in later posts.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures and the review!!!

I guess that your family is simply worried about you since unlike other disasters radioactivity isnt visible to the naked eye.I doubt not listening to the news would change much.Theyd stil worry about their offspring like all parents.
Never been a fan of Vocaloid figures and this figure wont change that even though its very good work. The colour of her hair reminds me a bit of gummy candy
Still…I want to go but looks like I got no choice. Will go to Japan next year and this time I’ll be there for a month, if not more. Maybe I would make a stop in Hong Kong too but it’s too soon to say for now.
Hehe, I was gonna go to Japan this summer as well…but looks like I won’t be going anywhere with my family telling me the same thing XD
Anyways, the figure looks great! Some very nice pictures you’ve taken there
Yui-san, I say go to Japan next summer. Save up more to buy more when you go to Japan!!! I think most likely I’ll be going to Japan again in the summer of next year for Comiket 82. I say you should go to that and maybe meet up for a small blogger meet in Japan!!!
